2008 Woodie Awards

On February 13, Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., introduced their new members in a probate show at the Wyatt Center on Peabody campus. A large crowd was in attendance on the rainy Sunday afternoon for an exciting and emotional presentation. This was the first new class of members this sorority has had at Vanderbilt in several years, so it was an especially meaningful experience for seniors. Many of the other NPHC organizations were also present at the gathering, occasionally generating tense moments. As part of their presentation, the new members performed a routine, as pictured.
